Donald L. Joseph, CMC, President, of Northbrook Consulting Group, Inc. which focuses on Strategy, Operations, and Information Technology. He works with small and medium-sized organizations to strategically plan and implement E-Commerce, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) initiatives. Mr. Joseph has been a Certified Management Consultant since 1985 and is President of the Institute of Management Consultants—Greater Chicago and Co-Chairman of the Independent Consultants SIG, Harvard Business School Club of Chicago. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Engineering from Washington University. He is also a member of the Midwest Society of Professional Consultants. Don has been involved in the impact of technology on management throughout his career, beginning with IBM, and as a consultant, instructor, and seminar developer for Brandon Applied Systems. Mr. Joseph founded the Management Advisory Services practice for the Chicago CPA firm, Shepard, Schwartz & Harris. Later, he was President of his own firm, DLJ Associates. His executive experience includes being the first non-physician Vice President of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, Vice President of Meystel, Inc., and both Vice President, Operations and Vice President, Finance and Administration of Russell-Field Paper Company. Mr. Joseph has also been on the faculty of the Elmhurst Management Program of Elmhurst College. He developed and presented seminars on E-Commerce, Customer Relationship Management, and Year 2000 Issues for CEOs, and consultants, including seminars for the University of Chicago’s E-Commerce Certificate Program, the Institute of Management Consultants, Midwest Society of Professional Consultants, numerous Chambers of Commerce, and the Small Business Administration’s SCORE counselors. He has written and contributed to articles in Crain’s Chicago Business, Talking To The Boss, and Silicon Prairie (a Chicago Tribune publication). He is editor and publisher of Weekly E-Commerce Management Update. He was national Chairperson of “Implementing Y2K Strategies: For 11th Hour Contingency Planning, Business Continuity and Crisis Management.” These 2 ½ day conferences were sponsored nationwide by Advanced Learning Institute in association with The Cutter Consortium. |
