Robin L. Hoberman, JD

Robin L. Hoberman, Senior Consultant, founded Solutions First Mediation Services, Inc., a business committed to offering mediation and conflict resolution services, because, through her experiences as an attorney, she learned that litigation often is not the most beneficial means for resolving conflicts. A licensed attorney, she has mediated and/or arbitrated disputes in the following contexts: Personal Injury, Construction, Breach of Contract, Employment, Manufacturing Defects, Partnership, and Landlord/Tenant conflicts. Ms. Hoberman’s legal experience includes Business, Employment, Eminent Domain, Franchise, Civil Rights, Tort, Mechanics’ Lien, Securities, and Probate law.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Tufts University, her law degree from Chicago-Kent School of Law, and her mediation training from Columbia College. She currently is listed as an arbitrator for the Cook County arbitration program and the Better Business Bureau. Ms. Hoberman serves on the Professional Development Committee of the Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution. She also is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, and the Midwest Society of Professional Consultants, which she also serves as Treasurer and Director.

Robin co-developed and presented a seminar on Year 2000 for CEOs and consultants to the Institute of Management Consultants. She has spoken on mediation to a variety of associations and business organizations, has been interviewed on local radio, and has written several articles on Alternative Dispute Resolution.
