Michelle W. Lewis

Michelle W. Lewis is a practicing real estate broker/appraiser with over 20 years in the field to her credit. A forensic real estate expert and fraud examiner, she acts as a technical advisor on real estate related matters to the Office of Housing & Community Development in Philadelphia through a contract with Northwest Counseling Service, Inc., a company that she founded and where she currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. Michelle brings a wide breadth of knowledge to the profession and has been a provider of expert advice and testimony to some of the largest organizations in the country, among which include the Office of the US Attorney, the US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and many private firms. She is a Founding and Operating Director and chairs the Certification Committee of the American Homeowner Education and Counseling Institute and sister agency, the American Homeowner Education and Training Institute, a Board Member and Chairperson of the Communications Committee of the Pennsylvania Federation of Housing Counselors and serves on many other boards,committees and trade associations including the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Philadelphia Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the National Association of Real Estate Editors and the American College of Forensic Examiners. An associate member of the American Bar Association, she serves on the Criminal Justice and Affordable Housing sections and the Conference of Federal Trial Judges. A real estate columnist, she is author and editor of 'The Lewis Report', is widely published and has taught and acted as a public speaker in every area of the field.
